So, Yeah (Misc. Collection of Everything)

-->> Yes, guess who just remembered that she had a blog and that she hasn't updated for over a month. and she missed Thanksgiving, too.

Well, I'm a lot late, but this video is a Thanksgiving tradition, and darn if I'll miss it this year just because I was lazy. I love this song any time of the year.

Petra - Thankful Heart

Yay Petra!

I put up the winter/Christmas banner today. It's supposed to be for Christmas, but it's more of a winter-type thing. I don't know if I'll change the colors of the blog again this year. Can't remember if I did it last year or not.

-->> In miscellaneous unrelated news, Obama went out the other day and said that it doesn't matter if America succeeds or not, his children will be okay no matter what happens.

Generally I do try and express myself without swearing but sometimes that can be pretty hard. Via Gateway Pundit, via everyone he got it from:

“Our kids are going to be fine,” Obama told supporters at a campaign event last night. “And I always tell Malia and Sasha, look, you guys, I don’t worry about you . . . they’re on a path that is going to be successful, even if the country as a whole is not successful. But that’s not our vision of America. I don’t want an America where my kids are living behind walls and gates, and can’t feel a part of a country that is giving everybody a shot.”
Hey Odummer: BITE ME!!! this country is going down in flames and all you can do is try and use your kids for political gain and reassure them that's it's okay 'cause Daddy's set for life now and he can take of you, even if the rest of the country is on the highway to hell. (Courtesy of Mr Hope-a-Dope.)

He says that's not his vision of America. I agree. His vision of this country is much, much worse.

-->> And last, but certainly not least, it is Christmas time, and I'm thinking: Christmas music!  i'm planning on a  series of posts containing Christmas music. We'll see how it goes. I was a little concerned at first as to whether or not I would have enough music, then I realized that between Mannheim Steamroller and Trans-Siberian Orchestra alone I have enough. Anyway, here's the first one, which is more of a winter kind of song, but that's okay. It's techno, too, so some people may not like it.

Klaypex - Chinter's Will

That's all for this Round.
Ciao!

Just For Fun - Transforming Owl

Well, I saw this video a while ago, and I thought, just to put up something new, and for something fun, I'll post this video.
This is an owl from the Republic of South Africa that 'transforms' to help defend itself from predators. The video is in Japanese, but you don't need to speak the language to understand what's going on. Depending on how big the predator approaching him is, the owl will make himself bigger to try and scare the predator away, or smaller to try and blend in with his surrounding. (If he was sitting on a tree.) One word you might hear in the video is the word 'henshin,' which Japanese for transforming or changing the body.

Here is the owl:

I think he's a cute owl. Especially when he makes himself all skinny.

Fixing the Song List

It's time for me to do this, 'cause I'm getting tired of trolling all over YouTube looking for the videos. That what the song list is for, darn it.

As much as I love Owl City, I now have 'Fireflies' on my Mp3, so I'll be taking that down. Another song I have on my Mp3 and no longer need on my Song List is Globus' "Take me Away." This is somewhat traumatic, since the song has been there since... basically since I started this blog. But now I have to get rid of it. NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Ahem. Other than that I have to fix that Muse link, being as it somehow got confused with Ryan Star's 'Breathe.' Also, even though I own it, Petra's "He Came, He Saw, He Conquered" isn't going anywhere. Not yet, anyway. I'm also swapping Train's "Drops of Jupiter" for "If it's Love." The Train song I'm really getting tired of hearing is "Hey Soul Sister." It's decent song, but even my repetitive listening abilities wear a bit thin after hearing it for the fifty thousandth time.

Now let me think, what else was I going to add? Meh. It'll come back to me.

You may have noticed that I'm talking less and less about politics around here. The frank truth of it is is that it makes me angry a lot, and I'm working on FFN stuff now, so I'm spending less time on my blog. And when I do come over, it's usually to use the song list. So yeah. I don't know what the deal with that is, either.

But for now, back to work.

Darn it, what else was I going to put on that darn song list?

My Blog Work is Never Done

And when it is done, YouTube will take down one of my favorite music videos, creating more work. The thing is, I ignore stuff like that until I'm missing about ten videos, then I have to revamp the song list.

Now, I'm trying to fix stuff on my Conservative Corner. The quote I have on Obama down there is from Opus #6 on this blog post. I'm putting it here 'cause I'm tired of putting it down there; the super-long link tends to muddle things up. So remember that.

Also, some of you may notice that I'm adding Liberal blogs to their own new special section. And I'm sure you're thinking, "But T.A.R.N.S., why are you keeping an eye on liberals?" That's exactly the point: I'm on keeping an eye on the liberals. I wan to know what those people are up to. Besides, some of these blogs I can compare and contrast with Conservative blogs, and that's pretty fun.

I have another blog in limbo in My Favorites since I'm waiting to see which side they come out on. I rather like how I can dump most of my important link on this blog and keep them here.

Well, it's time to get back to work.

THIS IS THE SOUND!!!

Several weeks ago, I was idly browsing through the CBD catalog, looking at books, which I love, when I turned a page and came across the Cd's page. Because I am a music junky, I took a minute to look at the different Cd's and point out he bands and singers I've heard before. Then a CD cover caught my eye. It was Switchfoot, with a new album, Hello Hurricane. I was excited - then I was thwarted, it wasn't out at the time.

Well, it's out now!! I heard part of one of the songs on a YouTube video the band put out, then again tonight on a commercial, for the Blackberry, I think. (Off subject, it's fun when you can go, hey I think I've heard that song before. Then they played one tiny lyrics clip right at the end, and I sat straight up and knew it was Switchfoot. But I digress.)

I came down to YouTube and found the song. And hey, I guessed the name almost right, it wasn't 'This is the Sound," but the name was "The Sound."

And if "The Sound" is anything to go by, this album is going to ROCK.

And here is the title track, Hello Hurricane.

What a shame I can't buy this CD until after Christmas. >.< Oh well, at least there's still YouTube. ^^

Turn up your speakers and enjoy, 'cause this is the sound!!

Mannheim Steamroller Does Halloween

Greetings, one and all, and Happy Halloween! This year I have more music, including some by Mannheim Steamroller. Yes, they are now doing Halloween music.

Mannheim Steamroller - Rock and Roll Graveyard

Mannheim Steamroller - Creatures of the Night

My apologies if you found the videos to be quite strange. I was looking for the best listening version, not necessarily the best video.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the music and the Monster Profiles. Have a safe & happy Halloween!

Things I find On YouTube

I'm embedding this over here until I can figure out what to do with it, not the least of which being who sings it and/or where it comes from. It could be from an anime by the sound of it, but I don't know. Sometimes it'd be really nice to know Japanese.

~2:56 p.m. Update!!~

Well, according to my online translater, the five Japanese characters mean 'prediction book of black,' whatever that's supposed to be. My second option says 'a black prediction book.' Strange. Well, nothing to do now but hit up Google, I guess.

Missing Vid

Hmm... I tried to embed another video in my sidebar, but I see it vanished. I wonder if the site's having trouble.

Do you realize what a pain it's gonna be to find that embed again? Well, I'd better hop to it.

Update: 5 Minutes later!

Holy cheese, I updated my blog and the video came back. Dang, that's freaky.

Oh well. At least I don't have to go find the player again.

Petra: This Means War!

Man, I love that title. Mostly becuase it has cool songs, and a cool sequel title: "Still Means War." Anyway, there's three different songs from this album that I like, and I'm going to embed them here, then put this link in my song list.

Muchas Gracias, again, to Unknown Petra Fan.

Petra - He Came, He Saw, He Conquered

And, my personal favorite, The Water Is Alive.

Missing Artist - Update: Artist Found

Can someone help me? I'd like to buy this song (preferably from Amazon.com) but I don't know who does it, and all my searches have been inconclusive. The closest I've come so far is this mixed album over on Amazon, which has the original, but not the remix.

I'm fairly certain the title of the song is Sound of My Dream, and over on Amazon I've tried looking at DJ Amanda with no luck, and DJ Melodie with no luck.

I would try and search YouTube, but it's down again, dangit. If you know this remix, please leave a comment and let me know who does it. Anon comments are turned on.

Thanks!

(P.S.: The video clips are from Futari wa Pretty Cure Splash Star [A.K.A. "Pretty Cure Splash Star"] episode 49)

_____________________________________________________________

Update! 5: 44 p.m.

YouTube's back, and through it, I was able to learn that the song was by East Rockerz and is the DJ Splash remix. Yay! Thanks YouTube!

Politics, Kabuki Theater, and YouTube Poop

Now there's a mix for you. This should be a nice long post, covering a variety of topics.

First off, a word about part four of Kill the Bill. It is going to be late; I wanted to have it up after part three, but I ran into trouble when it got to long and the click to enlarge didn't work, so it will have to be broken in half and then posted. It is complete, so all I have to do now is break it up and post it, but it might be awhile. My apologies if you were waiting.

Politics. It's odd I should be so passionate about something I hate so much. I really despise big government, and I have a very Conservative outlook on things. I didn't realize this until 2008, when I heard about Obummer Obama for the first time, and, having missed public school and heard the truth about socialism. I didn't want Dial R to be a Conservative blog, but it's a multi-purpose blog, so I guess that's they way it's gonna be.

Here's something guaranteed to give people fits: this post I didn't post earlier this week, but I think I'll throw it in here now.

Barack Obama is a Parasitic Worm

How's that for a title? (If you're ticked off at me already, without even hearing my story, chances are you're a liberal.)

Barack Obama is a parasitic worm. Now, let me explain.

Actually, this applies to all Democrats. Last Saturday, I took a walk out in the backyard, and stopped by a puddle leftover from where the creek had flowed after a rainstorm. When it rains hard enough, a creek flows through our backyard, and this had been one of those times.

As I looked in the puddle, I noticed this reddish-brown worm writhing around the puddle almost angrily, and as I watched, I realized two things: First, this worm was evil. And second, it was probably parasitic. I left to get a jar and a stick, then used the stick to lift the worm into the jar. (There was no way I was touching that thing.) I took it back to our detached garage and showed it to my family, who confirmed it was a tapeworm.

As my brother was preserving the thing in rubbing alcohol, and I was washing my hands for the third time, I thought about that worm. I don't like parasitic worms, and I have a good reason for hating the things.

I thought about it again later, and realized that Barack Obama is a lot like that worm. All liberals are like that worm. They suck out the life of America, just like that worm sucks the life out of it's host. Obama's insane cap-and-trade, promises to bankrupt the coal industry, and socialized health care (which, by the way, may sound good, but doesn't work anywhere) are all sucking away America's life - and freedoms.

Barack Obama and the rest of the left are a group of parasitic worms, determined to suck the life out of America.

How's that for insulting? I've stated the truth, and now I feel guilty about it. But, moving on...

Next, Kabuki theater. For a minute I thought I was wrong, but I guess I'm not, since Kabuki uses Noh actors... hmmm. Well, maybe I'm wrong, but Kabuki theater (at least the way I understand it) is a theater where the actors use masks, and depending on how the light falls on the mask, the expressions on the masks change. I've seen this used on Michelle Malkin's blog where it's used a as "the Democrat's kabuki theater of outrage." Which means they aren't outraged, but they're pretending to be. Personally, I'm with the commenter over on Malkin's site who said, "I'm waiting for the Seppuku part of this Kabuki theater." Me too.

(Seppuku was a ritual suicide performed by samurai in Japan. It's been outlawed now, but I could think of a few politicians I'd like to see do it.)

Now, for the YouTube Poop. A YouTube Poop is a mash up is different clips and I found this Emperor's New Groove poop to be quite entertaining, if not stupid in some places. (But that's generally how poops are.)

The Emperor Inflates the Barter System

9:19 - 9:26 : "This isn't poison, this is, Obama!"
What's the difference? Seriously....

One more thing before I call it a day. I'd like to quote this post by ErinF over, once again, at Michelle Malkin's blog. This was too good.

From the First Book of Democrat:
Psalm 2008-2012

Obama is my shepherd, I shall not want.
He leadeth me beside the still factories.
He restoreth my faith in the Republican Party.
He guideth me toward the path of unemployment.
Yea, though I walk through the valley
of the breadline, I shall not go hungry.
Obama has anointed my income with taxes.
My expenses runneth over my income.
Surely, poverty and hardship will follow me
all the days of his term.
From hence forth, we will live all the days of our lives in a rented home
with an overseas landlord.

I'm sorry, that was just too good. Alright, I'll quit now. See y'all later.

Rest Easy

Before I start down my Kill the Bill aisle, I think I need a breather.

I didn't start this blog with the idea of another Conservative blog in mind. I use it for other things besides the occasional irritated report of what Obambi's Obama's doing, and I'm about to start on those reports again. But for now, I could just use a rest, from everything.

This song ended up on my Mp3 by mistake. I didn't want it there, but I never actually got around to taking it off the machine. One night, I actually listened to it, and found out, it was amazing. Give it a shot.

Audio Adrenaline - Rest Easy

I am such a sinner, I fear my evil ways
I fear my imperfection, I fear my final days
I just want to take control, and snap this rusty chain
Drop my heavy burden, it seems to be in vain

....I am not a bold man, even though I want to be
I am just a dreamer, with a timid history
Scared of confrontations, I fume all through the night
The world has it's hold on me and I just want to fly
The sky, the sky is open wide
but I can't fly, 'til I step aside

...Rest easy, rest easy
rest easy, in My embrace
Rest easy...

Rest Easy.

Switchfoot Rocks Out in The New Chronicles of Narnia Movie

Wow, I haven't been this excited since I heard TobyMac's song that he wrote about the Chronicles of Narnia, which you can listen to here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vMr2390nJgg

Today I was struck by the random urge to listen to specific Switchfoot song. (As of now, ten minutes later, I can't even remember which song it was. But anyways...)

Instead of getting up and getting my mp3, I decided to just see if I could find the song on YouTube and listen to it there. So, I went up to the search box and typed in Switchfoot.

After that word, it began offering me suggestions for what I wanted to find, one of them being a new song called 'This is Home.' So I figured that I better go check it out.

What I found was really cool. This is a song that the band got to play for the new Chronicles of Narnia movie, Prince Caspian. You can listen to it here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N0ykm1v9xbU

Majorly Sweet. ^^ Of course, I'm a lousy audience if I've read the book before I've seen the movie, but I'm still willing to bet this'll be pretty cool.

One more thing Switchfoot fans like me might appreciate, a link to thier website!

Click here -->> http://www.switchfoot.com/in_index.html

And that's it for this post. L8R!

Lists...

Cool! I can start a list of my favorite songs on this thing. I thought that would be cool, since I keep a list on paper, but it's complicated to have to get that thing out when I want to find a YouTube video I want to listen to. It was so nice back when YouTube had thier drop down screen, then I could just drop down and search for the song video I wanted, but not anymore.

Most the list is my favorite radio hits, or songs I found on YouTube, and things like that. Occasionally some CDs, but not many. Although I will most likely not post my favorite Petra or Switchfoot songs, since that would take a really long time. I guess I'll find out as I go. L8R!
