Fixing the Song List
As much as I love Owl City, I now have 'Fireflies' on my Mp3, so I'll be taking that down. Another song I have on my Mp3 and no longer need on my Song List is Globus' "Take me Away." This is somewhat traumatic, since the song has been there since... basically since I started this blog. But now I have to get rid of it. NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Ahem. Other than that I have to fix that Muse link, being as it somehow got confused with Ryan Star's 'Breathe.' Also, even though I own it, Petra's "He Came, He Saw, He Conquered" isn't going anywhere. Not yet, anyway. I'm also swapping Train's "Drops of Jupiter" for "If it's Love." The Train song I'm really getting tired of hearing is "Hey Soul Sister." It's decent song, but even my repetitive listening abilities wear a bit thin after hearing it for the fifty thousandth time.
Now let me think, what else was I going to add? Meh. It'll come back to me.
You may have noticed that I'm talking less and less about politics around here. The frank truth of it is is that it makes me angry a lot, and I'm working on FFN stuff now, so I'm spending less time on my blog. And when I do come over, it's usually to use the song list. So yeah. I don't know what the deal with that is, either.
But for now, back to work.
Darn it, what else was I going to put on that darn song list?

He is Risen!
From the book of Matthew, chapter 28:
1 Now after the Sabbath, as the first day of the week began to dawn, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb.
2 And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door and sat on it.
3 His countenance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as the snow.
4 And the guards shook for fear of him, and became like dead men.
5 But the angel answered and said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know you seek Jesus who was crucified.
6 "He is not here, for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay."
Remember on Friday when I said that the story didn't end with Jesus' death? Today we celebrate the ultimate good news - He is risen!!
If you don't know Jesus as your Savior, if you've never heard any of this before, you can talk to me by leaving a comment on my blog, and I'll be happy to take the time and talk to you about it.
Happy Easter! He is Risen!!
"Now with outstretched arms
He welcomes in
Everyone who trusts in Him
His nail-scarred hands hold Heaven's gates
Wide open!"

This is What America Needs to Tell Barack Obama (and Big Government)
I can stand my own ground,
I don't need your help now,
You will let me down, down, down!
Yes, this is an AMV. For the Pretty Cure All Stars movie, no less. But the song here is what I want you to focus on.
I was over at Gateway Pundit's blog reading up on another of Obumble's fumbles and I had this video going in the background, and I'd heard this song before, but then the thought hit me that, you know, this is what America needs to tell Barack Obama.
The song is by Rise Against, and the song's name is Prayer of a Refugee. Here are the lyrics. I've linked back to what I consider to be some pertinent news stories related to the theme of this song from America to Obama.
Lyrics:
Warm yourself by the fire, son,
And the morning will come soon.
I'll tell you stories of a better time,
In a place that we once knew.
Before we packed our bags
And left all this behind us in the dust,
We had a place that we could call home,
And a life no one could touch.
Don't hold me up now,
I can stand my own ground,
I don't need your help now,
You will let me down, down, down!
Don't hold me up now,
I can stand my own ground,
I don't need your help now,
You will let me down, down, down!
Down!
We are the angry and the desperate,
The hungry, and the cold,
We are the ones who kept quiet,
And always did what we were told.
But we've been sweating while you slept so calm,
In the safety of your home.
We've been pulling out the nails that hold up
Everything you've known.
Don't hold me up now,
I can stand my own ground,
I don't need your help now,
You will let me down, down, down!
Don't hold me up now,
I can stand my own ground,
I don't need your help now,
You will let me down, down, down!
So open your eyes child,
Let's be on our way.
Broken windows and ashes
Are guiding the way.
Keep quiet no longer,
We'll sing through the day,
Of the lives that we've lost,
And the lives we've reclaimed.
Go!
Don't hold me up now,
I can stand my own ground,
I don't need your help now,
You will let me down, down, down!
Don't hold me up now,
I can stand my own ground,
I don't need your help now,
You will let me down, down, down!
Don't hold me up...
(I don't need your help, I'll stand my ground)
Don't hold me up...
(I don't need your help)
No! No! No!
Don't hold me up!
(I don't need your help, I'll stand my ground)
Don't hold me up!
(I don't need your help, I'll stand my ground)
Don't let me down, down, down, down, down!

Can't understand what I'm getting at by linking a specific page to a certain line of lyrics? Let me know, and I'll do my best to explain. Also, if you have some links you think should be added, drop me a comment and let me know what they are and where in the song you think they should go.

Christmas Music, Trans-Siberian Orchestra Style
For some strange reason, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra sticks out in my mind as one of the bands I learned about after I moved to Indiana. This is kind of odd as many of the bands I currently listen to I never learned about until after we left Michigan. But as far as "Indiana bands" go, TSO sticks out in my mind more than others.
TSO is better known for their Christmas music, and that's definitely what I know them for. So let's have some Christmas music, a la Trans-Siberian Orchestra.
TSO - Christmas Cannon Rock
Well, it was good until we hit the last minute and a half or so. (I prefer instrumental myself.) Let's move on to something better.
TSO - Christmas Eve in Sarajevo 12/24
In case you're wondering, the little "'Tis the season to be Jolly" bit they do at the end, well, I can tell it's not there, at least not in the mp3 version.
TSO - Queen of the Winter Night
For our last Christmas song for this blog, it's the classical Wizards in Winter a la Christmas lights. I think this is the original Christmas lights set to TSO music video, but I'm not completely sure. Either way, enjoy.
Merry Christmas!!

THIS IS THE SOUND!!!
Well, it's out now!! I heard part of one of the songs on a YouTube video the band put out, then again tonight on a commercial, for the Blackberry, I think. (Off subject, it's fun when you can go, hey I think I've heard that song before. Then they played one tiny lyrics clip right at the end, and I sat straight up and knew it was Switchfoot. But I digress.)
I came down to YouTube and found the song. And hey, I guessed the name almost right, it wasn't 'This is the Sound," but the name was "The Sound."
And if "The Sound" is anything to go by, this album is going to ROCK.
And here is the title track, Hello Hurricane.
What a shame I can't buy this CD until after Christmas. >.< Oh well, at least there's still YouTube. ^^
Turn up your speakers and enjoy, 'cause this is the sound!!

Shining Star English Lyrics!
First, a video of the song we're talking about here. This is the song Shining Star. Pretty Cool, if I do say so myself.
The only problem is that there is no translation of the Japanese lyrics. You can trust that since it's a song from Pretty Cure, it's not going to be anything obscene, but it would still be nice to know what the lyrics of the song are.
Thank to Animelyrics.com, I got my hands on a copy of the Kanji lyrics and translated them through Yahoo's Babel Fish into English. Then I did my best to romanize them, and it didn't turn out so bad, at least in my opinion.
First, the rough translation. This is what it looked like when I picked it up from Babelfish, pre-romanization.
Answer the heart teaches obtaining always
Don’t You Think? Being conspicuous conspicuously, the
From the star which is the sky east
It grasped suddenly with the darkness
You and desire is dazzling
Shining Star
While opening the eye, there is a dream which we would like to see
Shining star
Outer space of heart with being designed (the [so] and others), [ru] future
Pretty Pretty Cure, truth key
You search pretty pretty cure
Life shining two hearts!
There is also a day when it halts
That it is endless insecurity
Therefore fighting you are less crowded,
When moving, the courage which does not move.
The eye 瞑 (the [bu]) also the [tsu] [te] has shone
Shining star
Outer space of heart ([so] and others) So the vision which does not have the times when it goes out
Mirror of pre- pre- cure mystery
Pre- pre- cure what is projected
Dream flapping 2 hearts
Aiming towards where it continues to run (?!)
Shining Star
The heart teaches answering always
Pre- Pre- Cure Door of Miracle
Pre- Pre- Cure Someone you open
Love is not defeated 2 hearts!
It doesn't make very much sense this way, so here is the version that I romanized:
The answer the heart teaches is obtaining always…
Star in the eastern sky
Grappled suddenly with the darkness
You and desire are dazzling…
It is dear, the beat of that chest,
When opening our eyes, there is a dream we would like to see
Shining Star!
The outer space of our hearts is planned for the future
Pretty pretty cure, the key to truth!
You search for it, Pretty pretty cure!
A shining life, your two hearts!
Don’t you think? How it is being strong
There is also a day when everything halts
That it is endless insecurity
Therefore fighting you are less crowded,*
Shining Star!
The light in your eyes has shone!
Shining Star!
The space of your heart and others has a dream that never fails
Mirror the mystery of pretty pretty cure
Pretty Pretty cure is what is projected
Our dreams are flapping [on the wings of our] two hearts
Aiming towards where it [our dreams] continues to run
Shining Star!
The heart teaches, answering always…
Pretty Pretty Cure, the doorway to miracles!
Pretty pretty Cure, (Someone you open)**
Love is not defeated, [we have the power of our] two hearts!
Some day, someone who can actually speak both Japanese and English will translate this song and we'll get a version that's a better. For now, this is my version.
The first asterisked line, "Therefore fighting you are less crowded," frankly, I had no idea what they were trying to say by that. Perhaps that by fighting you are freed from your fears? I don't know, so I just left the line alone.
The second asterisked line, "Someone you open" could have meant some power that you open, but I wasn't certain about that either. Therefore, I left that alone also.
Anyway, I hope the transformation was helpful!

Mannheim Steamroller Does Halloween
Mannheim Steamroller - Rock and Roll Graveyard
Mannheim Steamroller - Creatures of the Night
My apologies if you found the videos to be quite strange. I was looking for the best listening version, not necessarily the best video.
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the music and the Monster Profiles. Have a safe & happy Halloween!

Things I find On YouTube
~2:56 p.m. Update!!~
Well, according to my online translater, the five Japanese characters mean 'prediction book of black,' whatever that's supposed to be. My second option says 'a black prediction book.' Strange. Well, nothing to do now but hit up Google, I guess.

Celebrate
Man, it's good to be a right-wing extremist. Because I'm now defined as 'evil' and a 'dissenter' under Obummer's reign (formerly known as 'patriotic' and 'Conservative') I can be just as patriotic as I jolly well feel like being. Speaking of Obama, I wonder what he's going to today that makes it look as though he sort of supports this country, while still managing to undermine it at the same time.
But enough about politics. It's the time of year where we celebrate our freedoms! And I would like to share this video, which I think is a really great patriotic song.

Missing Artist - Update: Artist Found
Can someone help me? I'd like to buy this song (preferably from Amazon.com) but I don't know who does it, and all my searches have been inconclusive. The closest I've come so far is this mixed album over on Amazon, which has the original, but not the remix.
I'm fairly certain the title of the song is Sound of My Dream, and over on Amazon I've tried looking at DJ Amanda with no luck, and DJ Melodie with no luck.
I would try and search YouTube, but it's down again, dangit. If you know this remix, please leave a comment and let me know who does it. Anon comments are turned on.
Thanks!
(P.S.: The video clips are from Futari wa Pretty Cure Splash Star [A.K.A. "Pretty Cure Splash Star"] episode 49)

Update! 5: 44 p.m.
YouTube's back, and through it, I was able to learn that the song was by East Rockerz and is the DJ Splash remix. Yay! Thanks YouTube!

Happy Easter!
Up from the grave He Arose (He arose)
With a mighty triumph o'er his foes
He arose a victor from the Dark domain
And He lives forever with His Saints to reign
He arose! He arose!
Hallelujah, Christ arose!
Hallelujah, indeed! I'm bursting with happiness right now, which is odd because I'm writing this post in advance.
Well, I have music for just about everything, and Easter is no exception.
Petra - He Came, He Saw, He Conquered
He Came, He Saw, He Conquered
Words and music by Bob Hartman
Based on Genesis 3:15, Matthew 28:6, John 20:19, Revelation 6:2
He came alone into the battle
He knew nobody else could face His foe
He left His throne, He left His glory
He knew nobody else could ever go
He called the bluff, He took the challenge
He came into this world to seek and save
No one could know, no one could fathom
The way to win was only through the grave
They laid Him in His tomb
They thought they'd sealed His doom
But He rose He rose!
(Chorus)
He came, He saw, He conquered death and hell
He came, He saw, He is alive and well
He was, He is, and only He forgives
He died, He rose, He lives
He came, He saw, He conquered!
The doors were locked, they heard Him knocking
They were afraid they would be taken, too
Familiar voice said, "Come and follow"
Come and see the things the Lord can do
They went to where He lay
The stone was rolled away
He rose He rose!
He came into this world
He saw humanity
He heard the SOS
He met the enemy
The enemy was conquered
The enemy was conquered!

Rest Easy
I didn't start this blog with the idea of another Conservative blog in mind. I use it for other things besides the occasional irritated report of what
This song ended up on my Mp3 by mistake. I didn't want it there, but I never actually got around to taking it off the machine. One night, I actually listened to it, and found out, it was amazing. Give it a shot.
Audio Adrenaline - Rest Easy
I am such a sinner, I fear my evil ways
I fear my imperfection, I fear my final days
I just want to take control, and snap this rusty chain
Drop my heavy burden, it seems to be in vain
....I am not a bold man, even though I want to be
I am just a dreamer, with a timid history
Scared of confrontations, I fume all through the night
The world has it's hold on me and I just want to fly
The sky, the sky is open wide
but I can't fly, 'til I step aside
...Rest easy, rest easy
rest easy, in My embrace
Rest easy...

Lists...
Most the list is my favorite radio hits, or songs I found on YouTube, and things like that. Occasionally some CDs, but not many. Although I will most likely not post my favorite Petra or Switchfoot songs, since that would take a really long time. I guess I'll find out as I go. L8R!
