Okay, so... I don't know beans about football, and it shows. A lot. I don't really care about sports, but today I find myself somewhat excited about the game I watched tonight.
And even I can understand when someone wins and loses, and tonight the Colts won! YES!!! They are going to the Superbowl!!
How much do ya wanna bet there's gonna be a party in Indy tonight? ;) Living out here in XXXXXXXXXXXX, I'm obviously not gonna be in Indy tonight, but I'd bet anything they throw a party out there.
Congratulations, Colts!! Here's hoping you win!!
The last time I cared about football this much was when the Colts actually went to the Superbowl. Huh. Well, it's time to celebrate, not time for self-analysis. GO COLTS!!!
YES!!

Good News!!!
You can read all about it!!
From the AP:
I'm so happy!! Go Massachusetts!!
I sure hope it signals problems. But for now, I'm just gonna be happy that Brown won.
From the AP:
Republican Scott Brown says his Senate victory in Massachusetts sends a powerful message and he hopes to get to work right away.
Brown's stunning triumph for the seat long held by Sen. Ted Kennedy was a devastating Democratic defeat that triggered soul-searching within President Barack Obama's party over how to stem further losses in November's midterm elections.
I'm so happy!! Go Massachusetts!!
Republicans are rejoicing and Democrats reeling in the wake of Scott Brown's stunning triumph in a special Massachusetts Senate election, a devastating Democratic defeat that triggered soul-searching within President Barack Obama's party over how to stem further losses in November's midterm elections.
Obama himself grimly faced a need to regroup on Wednesday, the anniversary of his inauguration, in a White House shaken by the realization of what a difference a year made.
In one of the country's most traditionally liberal states, Brown rode a wave of voter anger to defeat Martha Coakley, the attorney general who had been considered a surefire winner until just days ago. Her loss signaled big political problems for Obama and the Democratic Party this fall when House, Senate and gubernatorial candidates are on the ballot nationwide.
I sure hope it signals problems. But for now, I'm just gonna be happy that Brown won.

Food for Thought
So, how's the state of the world look to you? Yeah, that's about what I thought. I don't like to look either.
In the manga Full Moon o Sagashite, volume four, if I'm not mistaken, the main character, Mitsuki, says, "I'm not afraid of dying, but living is such a scary thing to do." I've been thinking about that line lately.
The plot of Full Moon o Sagashite surrounds Mitsuki and her dream to become a singer so she can get closer to her friend, Eichi, who lives in another country. However, Mitsuki has Sarcoma, a type pf throat cancer, which makes it hard for her to sing or even talk loudly. Thanks to some help from a pair of magical creatures, Mitsuki is able to become a singer.
But Mitsuki still has problems, not the least of which is the fact that Eichi died in a plane crash on his way out of the country. After her magical helpers learn about this, Mitsuki attempts to drown herself, so she can join Eichi in the sea.
Takuto, one of the magical creatures, stops her from killing herself, and somewhere in the conversations that follow, Mitsuki says that line. "I'm not afraid of dying, but living is such a scary thing to do."
The first time I read that volume of the manga, I never paid much attention to it. But the last time I read it, I saw that line and it registered.
Most people fear dying. After all, dying is unknown. But still, how much scarier is living? Living is full of unknowns. Every day is something different, and our past experiences teach us how to deal with the present. But it still doesn't change the fact that every day is unknown. When you and I get up in the morning, we have know what will happen that day.
To be sure, I'm not saying suicide is something we should all start considering. I'm not. I'm simply offering this as food for thought, because I find myself thinking about it a lot lately.
Mitsuki doesn't drown herself. Thanks to her magical friends, Mitsuki makes it through her trials. And despite it's dark moments and the fact that all the characters having to deal with death at one time or another, Full Moon o Sagashite is a surprisingly lighthearted manga, and it does have a happy ending.
Every day is unknown, but not all those unknowns have to be bad. What do you think?

America Rising
I was on the YouTube amin page today, on my way to my favorite music videos, when I saw this and stopped to watch it. This is epic, I urge everyone who comes through here to stop and watch this video.
America Rising an Open Letter to Democrat Politicians
This thing speaks for itself. I'm glad I went to the YouTube main page today.

Christmas Music, Trans-Siberian Orchestra Style
Alright, enough of RamaHanuKwanzMas. it's time to break out some real Christmas music!
For some strange reason, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra sticks out in my mind as one of the bands I learned about after I moved to Indiana. This is kind of odd as many of the bands I currently listen to I never learned about until after we left Michigan. But as far as "Indiana bands" go, TSO sticks out in my mind more than others.
TSO is better known for their Christmas music, and that's definitely what I know them for. So let's have some Christmas music, a la Trans-Siberian Orchestra.
TSO - Christmas Cannon Rock
Well, it was good until we hit the last minute and a half or so. (I prefer instrumental myself.) Let's move on to something better.
TSO - Christmas Eve in Sarajevo 12/24
In case you're wondering, the little "'Tis the season to be Jolly" bit they do at the end, well, I can tell it's not there, at least not in the mp3 version.
TSO - Queen of the Winter Night
For our last Christmas song for this blog, it's the classical Wizards in Winter a la Christmas lights. I think this is the original Christmas lights set to TSO music video, but I'm not completely sure. Either way, enjoy.
Merry Christmas!!

Happy RamaHanuKwanzMas!!
Let's make about 3% of the population mad! (Because liberals have no sense of humor.)
As most of you probably know, it's December. Even if you don't have a calender, chances are you have watched TV and seen a Christmas commercial, or gone to a store, or one of a dozen other things that will tell you one way or another, it's Christmas.
And this of course means that somewhere, some lunatic liberals is demanding that Christ be taken out of Christmas.
With that in mind, I give you Glenn Beck's Christmas classic, Happy RamaHanuKwanzMas.
Hat tip to Michelle Malkin for pointing this out to me, and others, about a year ago now. In the song, PC, of course, means politically correct.
Lyrics:
Have a RamaHanuKwanzMas, it's the PC time of year
Every holiday displayed because of morbid fear
Have a RamaHanuKwanzMas, yes we know the name is queer
But oh good golly can't offend nobody on (____)mas this year
Oh no the Eskimos need a holiday
We'll get right back to you
When we think up one for gays
Happy RamaHanuKwanzMas
What a time for winter cheer
But if you see a Christmas tree
You'll hear Christmas jeers
Screw you, ACLU for winning the twelve
Million in your lawsuit, versus Santa and his elves
Have a RamaHanuKwanzMas
And everyone must now adhere
So by golly don't hang up that holly
On (____)mas this year
{Yes, and no more sleigh bells either}
Well, with that out of the way, I return to celebrating Christmas. Everyone, have a Happy Hanukkah andMerry Christmas Happy Holidays MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
